2008 Village Green Swim Team

We have a great season ahead. We are a member of the Fort Collins Recreational Swimming League. This is a collection of neighborhood pools in or near Fort Collins. Some that you might recognize are: Westfield, South College Community Association (SCCA), Collindale, Fort Collins Club, Paragon Point, Parkwood, and more. There are a total of 15 pools in the league this year.

• All our meets, except for the State Meet, are in Fort Collins.
• Swim meets are always Saturday mornings. Warm ups no earlier than 7:00, meets start at 8:00, and are usually done by 11:00. This year we have five meets on Saturday and two weekend finals meets.
• Emphasis is on fun and learning. Swim meets are a little less formal, with officials not required. But if you love competition, there are still plenty of fast swimmers in the league.
• The early practice for older kids starts at 6:50 (no more 5:30 practices!!!). Younger children will start at 8:00.
• As always, membership to the pool is not required - but hey, it's the best neighborhood pool in Fort Collins! Think high-dive, shade and grass!
• Sign up for swim team starts at the pool on opening day, May 23rd. You are welcome to sign up earlier by contacting Kathryn or Jim Hulings (see below)
